Informatics (Information Science) Subtrack Curriculum
The Information Science subtrack offers individual flexibility. Students with prior training in related fields (e.g., computer science, library and information science, linguistics, management science) as well as in disciplinary areas (e.g., education, journalism, geography, public health) may design an effective program of study in Information Science.
Note that students seeking two master's degrees simultaneously or in succession need to follow requirements specified in the Graduate College regulations (Manual of Rules and Regulations, Section X.G). The same applies to students pursuing a Masters degree in a different discipline while also pursuing the Ph.D. in Informatics (Information Science).
Requests from students to transfer credits into an Informatics (Information Science) program of study will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
