PhD Program
The Informatics PhD is a flexible program that combines independent subtracks within a variety of disciplines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 72 course hours beyond the bachelor's degree is required, with at least 18 of the 72 hours satisfying the requirements of the Certificate in Informatics. (see above)
- Satisfactory performance on the comprehensive exam,
- The production and formal defense of a dissertation that describes original research results.
- The requirements described here are in addition to the University-wide requirements for the PhD degree described in the Graduate College Manual of Rules and Regulations, Section XII.
